Shabaz's Universally Topical Realm of Kings V 2.0

Post Shabaz's Universally Topical Realm of Kings V 2.0
We did a thread like this on the last board and it was critically acclaimed.

Basically, this thread is Shabaz's playground for the questions of life, social dynamics, chaos and game theory, and somewhere to post whence you or I have had too many Brew Dizzawgs (I'm looking your way, Rio). I will lead the discussion, and if I happen to leave again due to personal reasons, Team, Nish, Rio, or Pads can feel free to continue it.

DISCUSSION THE 1ST:

Having recently read Robert Greene's 48 Laws of Power and re-read The Prince, it has dawned on me that being honorable 100% of the time will not solve all of my problems.

Quote:
Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge or refrain from using it, as necessity requires. -Niccolo Machiavelli

But is it worth it to sacrifice part of one's character in order to pursue power/happiness? Before reading the 48 Laws, I would have said no. But now, albeit after a pretty fucking bad couple of months of being betrayed by friends and colleagues, I believe that since I cannot avoid the deception and self-serving interests of others; the only other reasonable option is to embrace it and become better at the game than they are.

Honor did not bring me happiness, however, it also left my conscience clean and guilt-free.

There are many ways to take this discussion. I'll leave it relatively open-ended. Have you come across this dillemma in your life? Are you still living with a blind-eye to the hurtful interests of others or have you taken my route?

Let Papa Shabaz know.

Certain members of my family are genuinely insane if not weird. I never say what I think and keep out of things. It doesn't solve the problems, but I come out smelling like tulips, with a hint of rosemary.

I also don't tell people what I think of them unless I really respect them, which they have to earn. I never give people the benefit of the doubt because I dislike most people, if not many, many.

You can't be the good guy all the time and by the same token you can't be the bad guy. I think everything is balanced, the scales never tip in one direction for long.

You are correct sir. Take a look at another person who tried to be perfect: Jesus.

He got the SHIT beaten out of him. Did you see the passion? The Romans must have thought he keyed the emperor's Camaro for a beating like that.

Anyway, the balance is definitely required in contemporary times.

I must agree that there has to be a balance but the feeling that i got from what Team said was that you have to be the "Good Guy" fifty percent of the time and the "Bad Guy" the other fifty so that it sort of evens out. What I think is that you have to be the "Good Guy" a lot more. You should only just be the "Bad Guy" when the time is right.

Anyway to change the Conversation a Tiny bit, not along ago I read a book that was by a Buddist in Perth his name was Ajahn Brahm. The book was called "Opening the door of your Heart" I know it sounds very corny and to tell you the turth no doors were opened but it was a good read. Anywho he told a story about a snake that was the "Bad Guy" all the time he would bite anyone or anything that got in is way. He lived near a Village and all the villagers feared him and they woud not dear go near him. But one day he became a buddist (Sorry i forgot the reason and details of why he did but that not a main part of the story.) So this snake turned over a new leaf and eventauly the villages started to realise that too. They would often walk straight past him and he would do nothing at all.

So one day a group of boys start to tease him and call him names and he just ignored it and started to slither away but the boys followed him and started to though things at him like rocks and sticks and still he did nothing so eventually the boys got tired and went away and all hurt and angry the snake when back to the head buddist and the head buddist said what happened to you? why are you all cut up? and that kind of stuff. So the battered snake replied its this buddist thing what i am ment to do i cant bite them like I used to do. Then the Head buddist says your right you cant bite, but you can Hiss.

Anyway thats my two cents I hope you liked the story.

Well while the Perth Buddhist writes books about fanciful reptile spirituality, he must have neglected to pick up a history book and read about the Tibetan monks who retaliated against the Red Guards of the Cultural Revolution.

I think this represents a narrow view. There has never been any conflict in Western Australia and to try to get by by hissing at people, won't work if people are trying to bite you. But by the same token, it may work sometimes, and it is important to adapt to any situation and not be bound by an unrealistic ethical code.

Would you have sex with a man on opposite day to prove that you're not gay?

But the act of having sex with a man means you are gay, so no. Opposite day is only one day after all, and after those 24 hours are up, I would have ramrodded no man.

No. Team stated the reasons.

wouldn't it be much easier to just say "im gay" on opposite day rather than being violated

Generally, I am a man of actions.

But not this action. Ever.

Yes this Question is a lot more straight forward than the last and i Must agree with everyone else, that no matter what the situation I wouldnt do that. But there is a problem if its oppisite day and your tring to show that you staight by having sex with another guy wouldnt it but opposite. So it is actually saying your gay.

So i would say that i am gay to prove that i am straight.

New Topic: Let's see how this goes.

SHABAZ'S ARTIFICIAL SCENARIO #1:

So this bitch has been sweating you for a good 2 weeks, and you're pretty sure that she wants to pursue a relationship with you. She is average-looking at best, but puts out like no other. Additionally, she is boring and insecure.

What do you do?

Thats a Toughy because on one hand she "but puts out like no other" and on the other hand she is "she is boring and insecure" and if she wants a relationship i would have to say no, because there is no point going in to a relationship like that when you know that you are going to be unhappy the whole time. Also a Girl like that is to high maintenance which would wear you down.

Turn her away politely and torch her house later on.
