What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? I heard that flavors such as "Ox Tongue" and "Chicken Wing" are popular in Japan.

Japan is a place filled with a wide array of odd food products. The hot dog bun filled with spaghetti and mayonaise. The aloe flavored yogurt. The pineapple pudding. The french-toast ham and cheese sandwich. But I have never seen such ice creams as the ones you mentioned. Although I admit I once saw them make salmon ice cream on Iron Chef.

But they do have vending machines for cigarettes and beer. And one that sold food to tourists so that they could feed the carp in the pond.

I haven't seen that but I would believe it... I bet you could find something like that in Akihabara hahaha. Or Roppongi. Those can be very dirty places.

Now as to Japan's pervertedness...
I went for a week 4 years ago with a sister-city organization (we visited Yotsukaido if you know where that is Moldy) and when we were in Tokyo, we went into a 100 yen store (dolloar tree equivalent) and they were playing a techno song that was in english and it was a graphic description of a prostitute's time with a client. The 12 of us were shocked and started laughing and everyone looked at us as if we were crazy and the translators with us said it was a pretty normal thing to hear...

And I swear the history channel said there were ice cream flavors of "Ox Tongue" and "Chicken Wing". It's on the American Eats series about ice cream.

The music in Japan is just like that. My favorite grocery store here ALWAYS plays the Beatles. They have stores that play a bunch of music in the mall about what it's like being black in the hood, when no one in the store is black. They play American boy band music at the bowling alley. They played Billy Idol at the department store. Music here is just really random and never seems to mean anything. As for the ice cream, just because I've never seen/heard ot if doesn't mean it's not here.
