My top 10 favorite bands
My top ten.
1.Black Sabbath
Just flat out sick scary, and creators of metal.
2. Nirvana
Made grunge, Sometimes loud, sometimes quiete. Sadly short lived.
3. AC/DC
Great before and after Brian Johnson. Plus they were costient and lasted a whie.
4.GNR
Reinivted metal, and were loud and aggresive and Slash sure could kick some ass on his guitar.
5.Rolling Stones.
A band who through out the ages were great.
6. Lynrd Skinner
Southern rock, and made one of the greatest rock songs of all time. FREE BIRD.
7. Jimmy Hendrix
He sure could play his axe.
8. Ozzy Osborne
Not sabbath but it still blew my mind.
9. Def lepard
Some say they were pop rock, but I still loved them.
10. Green Day
One of the few good modern rock bands.
Best of the rest are Eric Clapton cause of Layla, Linkin Park are another good modern band and Van Halen had Eddie van halen who was sick on the guitar.

I agree with you when you imply that Green Day is better than Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Whiny punk rock is way awesome, I can't think of one Zep or Floyd song I like.
"There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold, and she's buying the stairway to heaven. When she gets there she knows if the stores are all closed, with a word she can get what she came for."
&
"So you think you can tell heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile for a veil?"
VS
"I want to be an American idiot."

while i do think Mike Dirnt is cool, (way cooler than Billy and Tre who seem to now have vaginas) i wouldnt call him one of the best bassists of all time. Les Claypool could run circles around him.
