Kobe is freaking ridiculous. 81 points blows my mind. But I'm going to say that Tim Duncan is the best player in the NBA. Because Kobe can't lead his team to a championship like Duncan can. Kobe doesn't make all of the other players around him better like Duncan does. Kobe does things that noone in the NBA has ever done. The thing that makes him so good is his ability to create shots from anywhere.
If I'm starting a team and I get to choose any player than I choose Duncan.
My top 10 list would go like this
Duncan
Kobe
Lebron James
Stoudamire (when healthy)
Tracy McGrady
Kevin Garnett
Shaq daddy
Jason Kidd
Allen Iverson
Dwayne Wade

i don't know much about basketball but i would go with:
Lakers are looking good after the new year, but the Pistons are still easily the best team.

I don't know so much about Ginobili and Melo, but I'd agree with all of those.
Ginobili is only good because he has Timmy Duncan and Tony Parker around him, and he flops worse than anyone I've ever seen. Infact, I'd have to say I hate Ginobili. Alot. He puts Rodman's flopping to shame.

Carmello Anthony is the most overrated player in basketball. Easily.
Billups and Hamilton are nice, but the whole Piston team is just a great system of players who work together. I don't know that you can point to anyone as a superstar or top 10 best in the NBA or even top 20.

Tim Duncan is a better leader, yeah, but thats because he has a team of a consistent contributors around him. For Spurs you got: Manu who was an all star last year, Tony Parker whose maybe the best point guard in the league, Bowen who can shut down the other team's best player and have Finley, Van Exel, and Horry coming off the bench.
Other than Kobe, no one has been consistent all year. Kobe has the most responsibility of any player on any team. If he struggles like he did last night with his 8-24, they lose to a short handed Pacers team without three of their starters.
Fuck Omare, part of being a good player is not getting injured. Other than Jordan's second year with his ankle, whenever did you see him hurt again?

My opinion could be biased but i would go with Lebron being the best player. He has basically brought the Cavs back to life. He is a young player who a team can still build around. I see Kobe as being a great player, but will be less effective in later years.

Duncan makes other players around him better more than any of the players around him make him better. Parker the best PG in teh league?! No way. Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, Gilbert Arenas, Mike Bibby, Chauncy Billups and Baron Davis are all better than Parker. Parker can't shoot. He is a terrible 3 pt shooter and a terrible free throw shooter. PLUS HE'S FRENCH. You would put D Wade above Lebron? That's a stretch.

Ok, yeah sure you could say all those players are better than Parker, but he has scored the most points in the paint this year and his 6 foot! His penetration opens up so much for everyone around him.
Lebron hasnt done anything in the playoffs so far, and he hasnt even made them yet. And he is not as clutch down the stretch as D Wade.
In a cleveland, Indiana game I was watching, they showed Lebron's stats in the last 10 seconds of the game. He's 2/15 from the field and sometimes doesnt even look to take the shot to win it. I dont care what you say about Lebron trying to share it around, I want him taking the last shot more than Eric Snow.

I think he just did something pretty decent. 32 points, 11 assits, 11 rebounds.

I got so pissed. He just couldn't get anything started and was off. i dont know, but hopefully the Cavs can make it to the Finals next year. Its a longshot though.
