In Bush's term he has had to deal with
9/11
Anthrax Scare
Southern California Wild Fires
Hurricanes up and down Florida
THE Hurricane in New Orleans
War on Terror
War in Iraq


Licoln was the only other president who has had to deal with more Crisis than Bush. And that was because we had a little thing called the civil war going on.

Of people that voted against any President in history. George Bush is the most hated among those who did not vote for him. Does that make sense? I'm having a hard time putting it in writing.
So no president has ever been so hated by those who did not vote for him. When Regean continued the fight against the Soviet Union, even the people that didn't want him to proceed supported the continuation of the cold war once they saw it was going to happen. I wish people wuold do the same for the war on terror and the war in Iraq.

That and if you were against the president, it was completely unpatriotic. A la the womans rights movement that was extremely put on hold during the war because they were being called traitors when they were taking on truman for more rights.

So Pads I suppose that you think the Israelis have more of a right to that chunk of land than the Palestinians do because god made a promise to one of his chosen people thousands of years ago. Also that it is good for us to support the Israelis, even though their tactics cost as amny civilian lives as the Palestinians.

Yes I do.

But obvioulsy that logic is insane and laughable when talking about it from a political point of view.

...Okay...well the word 'patriotism' does not just apply to America, but can refer to any nation in the world. (Yes, some friends of mine bought some patriotism of EBay from Texas - it's a real blast!) Nish was making the point that Patriotism is not about blindly following your leader (a la Christianity if I may be so bold), but in fact questioning the system and making sure those in charge of the country uphold the ideals of the country and its peoples. Some people mistake 'Bush's America' for the real one.

And it's so cheap to assume we know nothing about America, you knowing nothing about how we see it.
I've been to America and I have friends in America and I know all about America and Australia shares many similarities with the US. So stop pretending only you know the 'real America' because it's not the world's greatest enigma.
