Much better than the first one. The predalien was kinda gay, but it could have been much worse. In a movie that already has two of the best movie monsters of all time, it's kinda overkill to add ANOTHER kind of monster. It felt like a homage to Predator 1 and 2 and Alien 2 instead of a movie that tried to do its own thing, which is good. Still had some of the problems the first one had like eggs taking all of 15 minutes to hatch once the face hugger grabs somebody. Predators looked more like Predators though and Aliens weren't all CGI all the time, which is an improvement. Worth seeing.

The one important thing I wanna know!! Is there plenty of raging violence?

Good, not great. It should be enough to keep the franchise alive though.

And it was better than the Simpsons movie.

I think it's unfair to ecspect Casino Royale or Batman Begins every time they bring back an old franchise though. I mean the last Predator movie wasn't that great and the last two Alien movies weren't very good at all, and the first AVP was pretty cheesy. I think we were pretty lucky to get what we did in requiem. These franchises were pretty much one more bad movie away from B-movie land I think. Who knows, maybe they still are.

Predator 2 was super sweet. The director's cut of Alien3 was enjoyable too. Alien Resurrection was a dirty piece of shit as was AVP1. And why is it unfair to expect a good movie, the potential for a good AVP movie absolutely is there, these people just have no idea what they're doing.

here is what a good avp movie would need:

- take place in the far future (Alien time frame)
- take place on an alien planet (everyone knows that if aliens every actually set foot on earth it is game over)
- have only a couple human characters, kill most of them off quickly
- no predaliens
- no 10 minute incubation time for chest bursters.
- no heart warming interaction between predators and humans: predators are monsters. keep it that way.
- don't break important cannon for either race (aliens can't reproduce without a queen. predators only come when it's hot)

Moving away from AVP:R (which was hilariously bad) anybody got any thoughts about Jumper starring our favorite evil jedi Hayden Christensen? If he doesn't say "They're like animals" I want my money back. Oh, and Sam Jackson is in it too.

God it's been a while since I've posted on this. Let's recap.


Spiderman 3 6/10

Pirates 3 8.5/10 Great move. And I know that most people will disagree BUT WHAT MORE COULD OU FUCKING WANT THAN TWO GUYS BATTELING IN OUT IN A MAELSTROM ON A PIRATE GHOST SHIP WHICH IS ALSO FIRING CANNON BALLS AT ANOTHER SHIP THAT IS ALSO FILLED WITH GHOST PIRATES.

Live Free or Die Hard 9/10 Best one yet.

Transformers 8/10 Great Computer animation. Amazing. But there were too many scenes were humans were shooting for 1/2 hour and no one dieing. Also they cut away from a lot of the transformer fights and then you come back to them and they are over. I realized they are hard to make but come on.

Stardust 6/10
